Less accepted is the quantity of his intervention and in which episodes. However, notwithstanding the various intervention of the collaborators, mark of a great artistic personality remains clear. In fact, in the whole cycle, one may perceive a kind of representation that is removed more and more from the abstract Byzantine iconography.
In a more defined pictorial space, a new reality is inserted. The episodes in which, according to the prevailing critical judgement, the intervention of Giotto is less, are the last five.
