BARONCELLI CHAPEL Baroncelli poliptych (church of Santa Croce)    This painting is still standing in its original place. It is one of the works signed by Giotto : "Opus magistri Jocti". The work has been removed from its original frame and placed in a 15th century one. In doing so, the top of the central panel has been lost. On the whole it is considered a work of Giotto’s collaborators, maybe Taddeo Gaddi, with intervention of the same artist. It represents a concert of saints and angels that surround the episode of the crowning of the Virgin.
